Mutawwif is an Arabic word مطوف (Mutawwif) rooted from the word طواف (Tawaaf), one of the rituals and rites of Hajj and Umrah, which is circumambulation around the Ka’abah seven times.

• The primary service of the Mutawwif is to ensure that the pilgrims perform their Umrah correctly.
• Guiding them from the first stage of Umrah to the very end.
• They will bring you to the Meeqat where you need to make the intention of Umrah and advice you on what you should do accordingly.
• They will guide you with the pronunciation of the intention of Umrah to the supplications and invocations of Tawaf and Sa'ie throughout the whole journey.
• They will pronounce every word of the invocation step by step for you to follow easily.
• They will make sure that you are comfortable throughout your whole journey.
• They will bring you to the barbershop (for men), so you can either shave your head or trim your hair for Tahllul – the ending ritual of Umrah.
• They will then send you back to your hotel before parting ways with you to ensure that you reached your hotel safely.
